Here’s the piece I ended up creating for the 100 Proof Project. It’s 25”x25” inch collage that was printed on white photo film that I found on the sidewalk. The paper had pretty bad water damage but ended up adding a nice touch to the final product.
My work has recently been included in car park magazine. Even better, right after my series “y/our streets” in issue #4 is work by none other than the late/great Wesley Willis!
Nice work Constantine and the rest of the folks at car park. The entire issue is amazing!
Good news! I was chosen to participate in the 100 Proof Project, sponsored by The L Magazine and Southern Comfort. Be sure to keep an eye on it!
The Brooklyn Arts Council recently partnered with HOTEL 718 to curate the new hotel’s art collection. I’m happy to say, they chose a piece from my series “y/our streets”. When the hotel opens, be sure to take a look!
This Saturday I’ll be participating in PEEP SHOW, presented by Ugly Art Room as part of Nuit Blanche’s 2011 Bring to Light festival. It’s gonna be sweeeet!

Peep Show is an 8’ wide x 6’ tall x 3’ deep wooden box - the red-lit word “PEEP” on the top – with seven paper disc View-Masters™ fixed across the box face and illuminated from within. Each disc has 7 stereoscopic images in rotation and the images will be creations of 7 selected artists.

I’m super excited to be a part of Ugly Art Room’s latest show called “cutters” (as part of L Magazine’s Northside Open Studios Festival). The show is coming down this weekend so if you haven’t seen it you should head on over to The Parlor in Greenpoint and check it out!
I’ve got some work in BWAC’s summer show called “Black and White”. Their space is beautiful - an old civil-war-era warehouse down by the water in Red Hook. The Red Hook Ramblers will be playing some New Orleans style jazz there this Saturday for the opening… you should come!
I’m happy to report that a piece from Patterns of Science was chosen to be included in this year’s CurateNYC exhibition!
Even better, as part of CurateNYC, my work was also exhibited at the Like The Spice gallery in Williamsburg. EXCELSIOR! The opening was jam packed!

The good folks at Recession Art have asked me to join the jury for the upcoming show “Irrational Exuberance”. Should be quite a time!
Last night was the opening of “Gentrified” over at the BAG Gallery in Gowanus. Check out the guy in the upper left taking a cell phone pic of my pieces!
The show is up until January 8th, so go check it out!

Check out the Recession Art blog, it turns out I was voted the winner of the What is the Where? Audience Choice contest! 2 sweet!
Here is a really great quote on my work from the Huffington Post, check it:
Ian Addison Hall’s photographic collages, on the other hand, create a haunting dream world. Hall has arranged 35mm cut-outs against drab beige backgrounds, nailing the essence of each location in a minimum of images, like a photographic haiku. There are no walls, only angles and perspective—windows and doorways gaping into nowhere.
I’m super excited to be a part of the upcoming Recession Art show curated by Risa Shoup entitled What is the Where?. The opening is November 13th at the Invisible Dog Gallery, so definitely come!
The Journal of Aesthetics and Protest chose a pamphlet I made to be shown and sold this weekend the Printed Matter NY Art Book Fair held at PS1. Over the next few weeks I’ll be posting more of these trash PSA images at allthattrashgoessomewhere.com. Jeah!
Here’s the card for the current show that I’m participating in at Skylight Gallery in Chelsea. It’s a pretty great show, lot’s of great artwork up for display until September 16th. Here’s a nice piece of press for the show too! Check it out!
